What is the difference between a domain name and a host?

To have a website, you need a domain name and hosting. A domain name allows people to find your website, while the host is a space on a server (remote computer) where all the content of your website resides.
A domain name is like the street address of your website, while a host is like the house of your website. You can have an address before building a house, but to display all the photos on your website, you need a place to place them.
