ECS cloud servers or VPS require SSH software connection. There are many types of SSH software, and here PuTTY is taken as an example to illustrate.
Download and open PuTTY software.
Fill in the IP address of the cloud server or VPS in the Host Name location. The Port is usually 22 and does not need to be modified. Click the Open button to connect. When connecting for the first time, an option box will pop up asking whether to save the key interface. Click "Yes" to save it, so that there will be no more pop-up windows when connecting to SSH later.
Subsequently, a login window for the Linux operating system will automatically pop up. Enter your username: root, After pressing Enter, you will be prompted to enter your password. For safety reasons, no characters can be seen on the interface at this time. After entering the password, press Enter to connect to the cloud server or VPS.
