To ensure that DNSHE’s free domain service can operate more sustainably, reliably, and long-term—while effectively reducing malicious bulk abuse—we will be optimizing the registration model for free domains. This adjustment will be made without changing our core commitment to “permanent free service.” Details are as follows:
1. Effective Date
Starting from January 1, 2026,
all newly registered free domains will adopt an annual registration mechanism.
2. Annual Registration Mechanism
Starting on that date:
-
Newly registered free domains will have a default validity period of 1 year
-
Within 180 days before expiration, users may perform free renewal
-
Renewal attempts are unlimited
-
As long as the domain remains normally and legitimately used, it can continue to be held for free
In other words:
Your free domain can remain free indefinitely—you simply need to complete renewal confirmation within the appropriate timeframe.
3. Existing Domains Remain Unaffected
All free domains registered before January 1, 2026:
-
Will not be switched to the annual registration model
-
Will not have their current rules changed
-
Will not be forcibly expired or invalidated
4. Why This Adjustment?
As user growth accelerates, we must balance “permanent free usage” with long-term resource sustainability. The annual mechanism helps:
-
Prevent unused domains from occupying free resources
-
Curb automated bulk abuse by scripts
-
Ensure real individual users can register domains smoothly
-
Improve the overall health and stability of the domain pool
Our goal is not restriction, but safeguarding.
We want to ensure free resources are not consumed to the point they become unsustainable.
As long as a domain is genuine, valuable, and actively used, it can exist indefinitely.
5. Renewal Process
Within the 180 days before domain expiration, renewal can be completed easily via:
-
Logging into the DNSHE Client Center and accessing the Free Domain Panel
-
Calling the official API interface
Renewal requires no fees, no tasks, no additional conditions. As long as the domain is in a normal, non-abusive state, renewal will be approved.
“Permanent Free” is not a slogan—it’s a long-term commitment.
DNSHE’s vision has always been clear: to provide a clean, sustainable, and freely owned domain space for those who truly need it.
This adjustment is not a reduction in benefits, but a reinforcement—making the promise of “permanently free domains” more stable, transparent, and long-lasting.
Thank you to every user for your continued support and trust. DNSHE will keep listening to the community, continue building an open ecosystem with long-term thinking, and ensure every domain can remain a carrier of real creativity and meaningful work.
